so this is what i have been working on lately....i wouldn't start anything else till it was done.Was soo over it,yet felt so accomplished when it was finally finished...took about 4 sittings and about 3-4 hrs...where the screens at yo?????

walk about's

i'm really getting the hang of this photography thing,and believe me it wont take over my art.Photography to me is about documentation.Also now that i have a little family it's also about the memmories.These are from our sunday walk about's/outing to Kiama.

release

whilst documenting some art,i decided to keep snapping...this is the pick of the litter...maybe a reference to yesterday's activity??maybe just a reference to how graffiti is my release...how when i have grip of that can,i am taken to another place and untill i put that can down,it's like nothing else matters!!

oldie but a goodie

found this photo in the archives,of an old texta drawing back in 09....when it comes to art i have a thing for animals,specially the ape family and myself and the big cat family have unfinished business!!

motivate me

really like this one of a cd rack/wood carving,that lives in our lounge room.Believe it or not,just sitting in the corner where it is constantly is in my view,is a massive motivational tool for me.Sometimes it says"go on,walk 2m to your studio,you know you wanna".....it's definately a love hate relationship!!!

completely unrelated

what i have witnessed just recently is quite upsetting and just a little bit sad.'THE ART SCENE'.I say this with such emphasis due to the fact i question if it is really a scene.Maybe this is due to my recent hatred towards it and wollongong.MAYBE!!i thought it was a case of i'll scratch your back if you scratch mine??yea nah...clearly not.At the end of the day alot of people are all for themselves and the bottom line is 'IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE RITE,JUST DO IT YOURSELF!'

size does matter

i stumbled across these this morning,which were taken in my old studio...which bought back some memmories and how good it was having such a big space as opposed to my new studio which is not even a quarter the size...in saying that i've learnt to improvise and the old studio doesn't have the views nore the tranquility of the new one!!

day trippen

$2.50 well spent i'll say,with a family funday train ticket that got me n the fam anywhere on the cityrail network.The day intailed-checking out the finished reno's on the MCA, wandering round the biggest book shop i have ever seen in my life,experiencing a sushi train and cruising the cloudy,drizzling wrath known as sydney city!!

take a picture...it lasts longer

i have always been interested in photography,and since i recieved  a pentax k-r for christmas last year,it has ran a close 2nd to art and more so almost an equal 1st.Probly due to the fact i didnt want photography to take over art's place so as recently balancing the two quite nicely,i have also combined them.I have been painting some photo's i have taken,which has been quite interesting.These photo's were taken in the backyard of my grandparents house,which is located on the lake.Great photo inspiration with a great veggie patch in which most of my pop's life is dedicated to!!

onto a winner

upon moving into a new residence,cleaning up the backyard we stumbled on these beautiful cherry tomato plants,which grow kopius amounts all year round.Now every couple of weeks i have a cherry tomato picking day.Dam i'm sounding like an old man,but regardless it is definately a little gold mine!!!

public style

as far as public art goes these days,this is more like what you'll be seeing from me.Believe it or not i loved climbing up n down the ladder for half a day and was fairly happy with the end result.As this was my first real large scaled character and hopefully plenty more to come!!

public projects

was a frustrating day for all participants,but also a very productive learning curve for myself atleast.Was also just really good to catch up with good mates for a paint,which is quite a rarity of late!!

well it's about time

over the past month or so,it's sorta been like i've lost myself...like i've lost connection with the inner me...some call this writer's block,but thanks to a disagreement which lead to hanging out with a motivational person got a bit of spark back into me....not quite runnin on all 4 cylinders,but definately gettin there...
